Return to Saud
9/20/10 Our trip home was unbelievable. I am convinced that Scott and I have the BEST family and friends one could ever hope for, and our time home only confirmed how much we miss and love them. I missed the country too. Going home to green grass, stocked grocery stores, movie theatres, and the American flag truly brought tears to my eyes, and made me appreciate everything that we have in the States even more. The actual flight was not enjoyable. Almost twenty-four hours of travel with a toddler could drive anyone crazy. I suppose it is kind of like giving birth. At the time it is unbearably painful and you swear you will never do it again, but as time passes you forget the agony. Come November, when we head to Italy, I’ll be refreshed and ready, all memories of the flight from hell erased from memory. It’s hard to believe that we have returned to Saudi.
